An R&D product manager is someone that has many responsibilities within a company. Firstly, this person is in charge of selecting products for manufacturing based on customer demands. On the other hand, this person provides support to the marketing department and works closely with the sales team. To be more specific, the R&D product manager is involved in a marketing concept that is used to reach out to possible customers. In addition, an R&D product manager has to work with a team of designers and engineers to make sure that there will be no problems when it comes to production. Likewise, this person makes sure that all of the designs are up to date and meet current market trends as well as government requirements.

Furthermore, an R&D product manager has responsibilities during production as well. For example, he or she is in charge of designing a product testing plan that will help to detect any problems before shipping occurs. Also, it is important for the R&D product manager to monitor production costs and maintain records of expenses for the company to stay within budget.
